I have worked six contracts with this company since 2017. While I used to rate Nomikos around 3+, it has declined significantly over the last two years. Internet is expensive and slow, crew change requests take months, and the food quality keeps getting worse. They are replacing Russian-speaking crew with Filipinos and prefer to hire senior officers from outside. The management is changing, with younger supervisors who are more focused on their own interests. Unfortunately, I have seen the company decline, and talking to those who haven't left yet, it doesn't seem to be improving.
I worked for them as a wiper. They send crews through Eurocrewing and other agencies. Contracts for ordinary crew are around 8 months, and I was changed after 7 months, but some people stayed for 9-11 months. There were cases of crew members working for 12-14 months during the peak of COVID. Promotions are slow, and many crew members wait for advancement. The food situation improved after a better captain arrived. Salaries are paid on time, but there was a case of a one-week delay. They deduct a commission for salary transfers, usually 20-30 USD. Overall, I had a decent experience, but the atmosphere in the company is not great. I don't plan to work with them again soon.
