I had a contract with ALMI Tankers that involved back to back rotation, which could extend if the person replacing you doesn't show up. The food on board is good, but it really depends on the captain and the cook. The internet is decent, with 1.5GB free, but it can slow down when many Filipinos connect. The ships are generally in good condition, although there is one ship that has a lot of problems. The crew is mostly Filipino, with officers from Croatia and Ukraine, but due to the war, there are issues with getting Ukrainian crew members on board. They also have problems with Chief Officers leaving or being dismissed, so when a new C/O arrives, you just hope for a timely change. Dry Dock is very important to them.
I worked for this company as a crew member. While the ships were newer, things were okay. As of 2025, I do not recommend it; only the top 4 positions have decent salaries. The quality of food depends on the captain. They promise a 3-month contract, but in reality, it turns into 4 months or more. They have started hiring more of our crew because the locals do not want to work under these conditions.
