I worked on the last ship for them as a 3rd Officer and was very satisfied with the food and salary. However, after completing my probation period and agreeing on a ship in mid-June, I faced issues. They delayed hiring four or five Ukrainian sailors for a month, and I called them several times without any response. I found out from the chief and some colleagues that I was terminated. I emailed them expressing my dissatisfaction with their unprofessionalism, as they could have informed me about the termination right after I got home instead of confirming my embarkation. To this day, I haven't received any response from them, and they seem to prefer hiring Ukrainians over us.
The atmosphere on the ship is terrible, and the crew is the worst. Most of them work against their own people, and the situation is exploited by others. The captains have no knowledge of the cargo, and I learned more about it in a month than they have in over 20 years. One of the officers was incompetent and made several mistakes, which caused problems. They still use paper charts, and the office staff is outdated in terms of technology.
