I worked for Chartworld Group a long time ago and I have the worst impressions and memories. I don't even want to recall or describe the chaos; they stood out negatively even among other companies. The ships were just scrap metal. If you want daily adventures that are a pain, then go for Chartworld.
I have been working as a master for them on my second contract. The ships are worn out, bought from the Chinese at scrap prices. However, the salary is very clear and timely, the food is good, and the supply of spare parts is very fast, which is great. Most of the office staff are sailors, very adequate and professional people, providing help 24/7. The crew is not always professional, but that's not surprising on bulk carriers, so we train them. The company also has reefers and container ships, but I can't say much about the container ships as I know they are relatively new but managed by MSC, which is not a good choice. It's nice that there are no Indians in the office or on the ships. The crew consists of Greeks, Ukrainians, many Turks (masters and chief mates), Filipinos, and Indonesians. It's worth working in this company as the office staff are very reasonable and the number of ships is constantly growing.
I worked on a tanker for them, which turned out to be their flagship. The ship was decent despite its age and construction. I heard from my colleagues who have been with the company for a long time that on other vessels, the supply and condition are terrible.
