I also appreciate that they do not burden crew members with unnecessary training or courses while they are on leave. Overall, I am satisfied with the crewing company and do not plan to change it in the near future.

I was offered a job for a vacancy. I sent all the requested documents and was scheduled for an interview with the captain-mentor in the morning. Later, they called and rescheduled for the afternoon, saying the captain was busy. At the specified time, no one called me, and even the assistant didn't respond. When I wrote to her asking if something happened to the captain, she didn't reply. It all felt very unprofessional. I will ignore their offers in the future.
The selection went smoothly — interviews passed, a vessel named, a medical referral issued. Once the medical was done I was told the cadet vacancy no longer existed. The alternative offered was to sail as AB in about three months, and the office was surprised I would not take it.
