I worked one contract with SIF Service as a chief engineer on a worn-out vessel. The salary was low and was not paid on time, while the supply system was practically nonexistent. The superintendent was unqualified and tried to instruct senior engineers. I would not recommend this company.
I joined one of SIF Service's vessels while it was undergoing repairs in China. On 15 June, the vessel was attacked with missiles while transiting the Gulf of Aden, and we had to abandon it. No one received any compensation; instead, we were blamed for leaving the burning and sinking vessel 52 hours after the incident.
I can only thank SIF Service. I joined in Odesa and signed off in Bulgaria.

Spare parts and supplies were acceptable, while the quality of the food depended on the cook. The vessels were repaired and maintained according to schedule; the salary was low, but overall the company is suitable for beginners.
My last contract with SIF Service was as a navigation officer on a vessel. The salary was not particularly high, but there was enough work and the contract passed quickly. The crew was mostly Ukrainian, and the company had also started placing Azerbaijani seafarers on board. Their vessels mainly operate in the Mediterranean.
