However, they pay on time, usually by the 28th of each month. I only experienced a delay once, which was resolved quickly. The food is typical for companies with a large number of crew from one nationality, and the condition of the ship varies. Spare parts are sent slowly, depending on the experience of the person handling the request. There is a bond store and internet on some ships, but it's expensive. I had to buy drinking water myself. Growth opportunities exist, but they are not rapid, and I had to work over 7 months on my last contract due to crew changes during the pandemic.
