I completed one contract through Neptune in an entry-level position. The crewing office tried to charge me an additional amount beyond what we had agreed, and I was sent to a Greek-managed vessel that was in poor condition. The working conditions were not good, although my salary was paid regularly without delays; I left after three months.
I am currently working through Neptune. My salary is paid normally, the food is good, and the vessels are average—there are worse ones. The company provides 8.5 GB of Starlink internet per week.
I worked as a Second Officer on tankers. The officers were Greek, Polish, Ukrainian and Venezuelan. It is suitable for starting out, but according to my experience, getting assigned to a vessel required paying a bribe.
