I am currently on a contract arranged by SVS Management, and this is not my first contract through them. They work with several other companies, and overall the contracts could be better. The process is straightforward: you work and get paid, and the office does not pressure people to stay.
I worked through SVS Management in 2014 and paid a $400 agency fee to join as an ordinary seaman. There were no problems with the crewing process, and they arranged my departure within a week. At that time, it was an acceptable option for getting started, but nothing more.
I approached SVS Management about four and a half years ago. They did not ask about my name or position and immediately started pressuring me to pay money.
