I have worked for TSM several times. They always tried to accommodate me, and any commission was negligible.
I completed my latest contract through TSM. The salary was average and was paid through MarTrust, which I did not like. Ten dollars was deducted for a Swiss trade union without discussion. The crew was Ukrainian, with some ratings being replaced by Filipino crew members and Sri Lankan crew members being introduced; I was lucky to have a good crew, and career progression was possible.
I joined TSM for the first time on a bulk carrier and initially everything was fine; I did not pay any fee to join. On a later contract, they reduced my salary by $50 before I started and then stopped paying overtime. I worked 5 months and 3 weeks of a 6±1-month contract, but they refused to sign me off, citing an inconvenient port and the lack of a replacement, even though there were still two weeks to arrange one.
