Aquamarine confirmed me for a vessel, then required me to undergo a medical examination and buy work clothes. A few days later, they refused to employ me without giving any explanation. I do not recommend this agency if other options are available.

I worked as a fitter on a RO-PAX vessel through Aquamarine. They charged a commission, but it was reasonable for experienced crew. The crew was mixed, the food was excellent, salaries were higher than on bulkers and tankers, and contracts were short with stable crew changes. I recommend working with this agency.
I obtained new certificates as requested, paid a $400 agency fee, and received my tickets. Two days before departure, the agency told me that I either had to obtain a new certificate through them or the departure would be cancelled. When I tried to contact the company directly, the manager ignored me.
I paid Aquamarine $400 for employment. My bank confirmed that the money had been received, but Aquamarine said they had not received it and stopped responding. I provided them with the payment receipt, but they ignored me. I also contacted the police, but the case has not progressed.
