The company’s office staff were mostly Polish. In my experience, non-Polish seafarers were hired mainly to urgently fill gaps, and promotion opportunities seemed to be available only to Polish employees. The crewing and technical departments did not coordinate well: I was confirmed for a vessel but then kept on standby for two months because of problems with crew changes.
