People claiming to represent Alpha Crew contacted me, but they disappeared as soon as they learned that I had ECDIS courses. This made the recruitment process appear highly suspicious.
I am currently working on a drillship through Alpha Crew. Their services are officially free, although the speed of joining depends on the available vacancy. The crewing managers are polite, genuinely concerned about seafarers, and available almost 24/7, including weekends. They recruit for existing vacancies, and it may be possible to join without paying if there are no other candidates for the position.
I have worked through Alpha Crew personally. Not all services were free, but the charges were within acceptable limits.
