I worked with Amergo Group and was disappointed with the experience. They acted as an intermediary for another intermediary, had very little information about the vessels and their current situation, and could not answer specific questions, including about possible salary delays. They also charged a commission.
The representative was pleasant to communicate with and offered several options, but I declined to work with another crewing agency. They proposed a position on a bulk carrier with MSC, but the prospect of working with a specific nationality did not impress me. However, I cannot say anything bad about the agency; they explained everything clearly and professionally regarding the vacancies, and my impression of the agency in terms of communication is very good.
I was offered a job on a container ship with MSC. They said the employment process is free. I passed an interview with a mentor at MSC, and they provided the name of the vessel and the embarkation date. Now I'm waiting to see how things go. The manager I spoke with seemed quite nice.
