I used this crewing company for placement. For the first assignment, I paid an amount equal to two monthly salaries and was sent to an old, worn-out dredger. For the second assignment, I paid an advance, but after three months of promises I was still not sent anywhere; when I requested a refund, the money was returned only partially and after lengthy delays.
The company contacted me and offered a position on any type of vessel. They asked me to pay for their services.
I was contacted by a recruiter who asked me to pay UAH 6,000 when signing, even though I had 24 months of experience in rank. The communication was overly familiar and unprofessional, the vessel information was vague, and I was also asked to obtain a COVID certificate in case it was needed.
I work as a manager at an Arab company and have cooperated with this crewing agency. They charge for their services, but in my experience they do perform their work; I know of around 1,000 seafarers whom they placed and promoted. In my view, the agency works professionally and deserves trust, and I recommend it.
I was moving from a Third Engineer position on a ro-ro vessel to a Second Engineer position on chemical tankers through this company. I did not have to take any tests or complete any procedures: I paid, and two weeks later I was on board.
